well, it looks as if i had one of two options tonight... sit on my ass at work waiting for redmond linux to finish downloading or come home, install slackware and go to bed before one in the morning.

i chose slackware.

which isn't to say that i've given up on trying out redmond linux on my completely beat up home box - but i'd really like to be able to use the phone line that just got installed with a nice linux box.
