i've finally gotten around to implementing comments on my blog. now you can yell at me without having to open your mail client. fortunatley, they also fold out right under my posts so all you folks who don't have javascript on are spared from stupid pop up windows. the only problem i have with them is i wish they'd fold back up into themselves when you click a link. i may need to fuck with the script to get it to do that, but it should be a lot nicer. in other news i think i'm going to go back to the semi-transparent gif instead of using alpha shading on the table background. the alpha shading looks cool, but it bogs page performance down quite a bit.
