plans...

so since megan's coming along to defcon i've had to go and get a room. i can't really expect to crash out on someone's floor with a girlfriend in tow, can i? needless to say, everything within stumbling distance to the alexis so i had to check out other options. after hearing my dilemma petty thoughtfully reminded me that the luxor was close enough and only cost about six bucks per cab ride so i looked into a room there.

for the weekend [fri/sat/sun night] with a rather nice room in the pyramid it'll run me a little under three.hundred and fifty dollars. so my con budget is reduced by three.hundred and fifty, but the benifits [see: a place for the weekend alone with my girlfriend; a way to escape things if shit gets too heavy; not having people crashing out on my floor] outweigh the cost. i've figured i'll have well over a thousand dollars to blow if i follow a strict budget for the next month - which is more than i've had for every defcon before combined...

i just can't belive all of this is just a month away.
