i fucking hate spammers

so here's my project for the day at work: figure out how many valid mail servers got blocked by spamshield and remove their five.fifty messages from sendmail's access file. under two.thousand down, only nine.thousand to go... honestly, the big thing that would make this a whole assload easier is if people would actually name their mail servers either mail, smtp or mx and maybe a number. like mx02.whatever.com would be easy to pick out, but various .edus that use shit like sinewave.somesilly.edu just make my day all the more harder. it's called common sense - people should try to use it sometimes.
updata: after sorting thru all the messages by hand i now have three.hundred and sixty ip addresses that i have to unblock. now it's time to debate which would be faster, writing a script to do my work for me or taking the time to take them all out by hand...
