greybox :: nes synth

chris bethea is a broke student who is working on a glorious project... greybox is a midi-controlled analog based synth that uses the ricoh 2a03's on-chip sound generator. for those not in the know, this was the chip responsible for cranking out the jams on the nintendo entertainment system. he's currently in the prototype stage at this point and he should be ready to sell them by april. the base price is a bit steep [three.hundred.fifty bucks], but it looks like it ought to be a cool machine. naturally, i really really want one.
