now normally i'd shove something like spinalcat in my linkbar, toss up a [via] link to beatmixed and be on my way. but the idea of using cuecats as the basis for a diy version of finalscratch just has me worked up in a lather.
the related thesis paper [pdf, 28mb] is an excellent read on alternate midi controllers, turntablism and man/machine interfaces. the author manages to name check afrika bambaataa and john phillip sousa mere pages from one another, so it's got that going for it too.
