jtx has been working on case mods for his desktop box the past month or so. after he added a window a couple weeks back he bought some blue neon wire to help light up the inside of his case. unfortunatley the neon wire he bought wasn't that great and he didn't feel like returning it to the online store he ordered it from so it got tossed in a drawer and forgotten about. thanks to the trickle down theory of computer hardware i inherited the blue neon wire earlier today and wondered what exactly i could do with it...
i don't belive in tricking out my computers so adding a window to one of my pc's was out of the question. also, the blue light would end up looking like crap against the orange top of the only translucent desktop computer i own - anger the imac. my saving grace ended up being the qube2 i picked up a while back. not only did it have a translucent case but it also happened to be blue. so i hooked a y cable up to the computer's power supply, used some clear tape to sturdy down the wire, plugged everything in, powered it up and saw...
