chucked out

chuck palahniuk - author of "choke", "survivor", "invisible monsters" and "fight club" outed himself earlier this week due to some paranoia reguarding an upcoming entertainment weekly piece which he was afraid would give out his little secret. now i'm normally not one to talk about gay issues or anything else and it riles me up when someone points out that someone else is gay. but still, seeing as how chuck is probably one of my top three favorite modern authors i'm not going to let his sexual preference affect my opinion. my only worry is that hopefully this won't cause a backlash against him from some of the throngs of angry young men who seem to gravitate towards palahniuk's work.
