just got finished watching an "evaluation copy" of spiderman 2. i must say that i rather liked it despite a certain friend panning it. raimi's action sequences stand out, as always. there's always a rough edge that he brings to fight scenes that make them feel fresh. i also appreciated the cameo from bruce campbell and the "oh shit, i blinked and missed him" appearance from stan lee.
good stuff for a kid who grew up reading three different spiderman related titles a month. there's enough stuff in there for the non-geek set too. but do yourself a favor and go see something smaller and wait until next weekend to catch this. it'll be around in theatres for a while.
