it says a lot that entertainment weekly's david browne named dj dangermouse's "grey album" the best album of 2004. i can't think of any other time where a "download only" album has hit a published critic's top 10 list, let alone taken the number one spot.
once you take into consideration that dangermouse is slated to produce the next gorillaz album, i'd say his year is ending better than it started.
